Where is Los Cabos

Los Cabos Beaches

Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, you will find an infinite number of beaches with fantastic views, incredible colors, and pristine waters. Los Cabos beaches are the main attraction to this destination, and it’s imperative for every traveler to visit as many as they can. Some of this beaches are safe to swim, others are well known as surfing spots, and many others are perfect for snorkeling or diving. With 14 days of rain in a year, sunny Los Cabos makes the ideal beach destination!

Some of the beaches we are about to recommend you may be far apart from your hotel or villa. For more comfortable and safe travel, we strongly recommend hiring a private driver; you will obtain 30% OFF when using your Los Cabos Passport card.

When visiting a beach at any destination, you must follow the rules and local advice. Some Los Cabos beaches have strong undertows and sometimes powerful waves. It is essential never to swim alone and never underestimate the power of the ocean, even if you are an expert swimmer and the water looks calm; your safety is first!

Popular Beaches in Los Cabos

The first beach that comes to mind is El Medano in Cabo San Lucas, likely one of the most famous beaches.  Full of resorts, restaurants, and bars, this is the favorite place for spring breakers and families alike. Here you will find legendary places as Mango Deck, where you can obtain a 2×1 on your main course with your Los Cabos Passport Card.

Sharing popularity, Lover’s Beach or Playa del Amor in Cabo San Lucas (suitable to swim) is a must in everyone’s bucket list. Right behind El Arco rock formation, this iconic beach connects the Sea of Cortez with the Pacific Ocean, from on which side changes its name to Divorce Beach or Playa del Divorcio (swimming not recommended).

You will find Santa Maria Bay around a 10 to 15 minutes drive from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo. This protected marine sanctuary is Blue Flag Certified. It’s a popular snorkeling spot and one of the preferred Los Cabos beaches.

Going further to the East, Chileno Beach, also Blue Flag Certified, offers a guaranteed fun time with a family of all ages. Pristine calm water is safe to swim. Many boat excursions arrive at this beautiful beach every day.

Passing halfway to San Jose del Cabo you have Palmilla’s Cove. Another Blue Flag Certified Los Cabos beach, suitable for swimming.

Lastly, we have the Estuary Beach in San Jose del Cabo. This beach is not adviced for swimming since the waves and undercurrents are strong, yet this makes a perfect view. As with many of Los Cabos beaches, a walk during sunset is going to make an impression that will last for a lifetime.

  1. What is an average quote per hour without the Cab Passport card?

    Reply
    • Depends on what you are quoting. For example, a tour on public price can go fro 80 USD to over 600, with Los Cabos Passport you would be paying half of it. Most of the time with one use of your card, it will be paying itself with the savings.
